Thurlestone Hotel

Project Description: Treliver Restaurant and Kitchen Refurbishment

The project involved a complete redesign of the main Hotel restaurant and kitchen by London-based Fabled Studio, whose work can be seen in many of the capital’s best dining rooms including Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. An elegant, art deco style runs throughout The Trevilder, with marble mosaic flooring, mirrors and lighting echoing the 1920s and 30s, alongside discreet naval detailing that gives a nod to the region’s maritime history. The restaurant is set across two levels with floor-to-ceiling windows; the design features a semi-private dining room that can seat up to 36 and a marble-topped chef’s table with space for up to 16 diners.

Given the tight turnaround required for a project of this nature where closure of the restaurant and kitchen would have an impact on the hotel’s commercial operations, QSPM were appointed as Project Manager and Contract Administrator to keep the project on track, working closely with the Hotel management team, Designers and specialist shop-fitters and commercial kitchen installers.

The project was completed successfully, on programme, and with minimal impact to hotel operations.
