Project Description: 50 metre Olympic Legacy Swimming Pool
Part of the Olympic Legacy scheme, the project consisted of an 8 lane 50m swimming pool with associated changing rooms, linked to the existing 25m Pool. The design involved the use of sustainable materials and energy efficient design principles, including the inclusion of a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant.
The project had been put on hold by the school due to funding / budget issues. Once appointed we were able to confirm the budget for the project, develop a detailed cost plan and tender the works within the budget. The construction work was then completed on programme and within budget, ready for the Schools target occupation date.
The project built upon our previous experience of Leisure Projects, Swimming Pools and working within a live school environment.
